Balenciaga labels its products "FR/EUR 37 – US 7": French, European, and engraved sizes are one and the same number, without conversion. A particularity of the house, it only manufactures full sizes. The fit is read by family: Knife pumps are snug but very narrow at the toe, while chunky-soled sneakers, Triple S and Track, run a size large — go down one size, or even more if your foot is slender.
Balenciaga does not publish foot length; useful reference: a size 37 corresponds to a foot of approximately 24 cm. Balenciaga confirms it in its own guide: this size is also the French size, with no discrepancy.

Balenciaga has two lives, and the word "vintage" covers both – that's the trap with this house. Cristóbal Balenciaga's historic house, closed in 1968, did not produce ready-to-wear shoes. What is collected today are the shoes from Nicolas Ghesquière, 1997-2012: full-grain leathers, sculpted wooden, resin, and bolted block heels. These are also, by far, the ones that age the best.
Strappy sandals with buckles on a wooden heel 2003 discontinued
multiple straps fastened with silver metal buckles, on a chunky stacked wooden heel
Lego heel 2007 discontinued
multi-coloured lacquered blocks bolted together, stacked like bricks
Sculpted heel pumps 2010 discontinued
wood, resin and metal combined, geometric block heel
Triple S 2017 still in production
a triple stacked sole, and a deliberately worn and yellowed look from new
Knife 2017 still in production
pointed blade-like toe, very elongated, very thin stiletto heel

The luxury house Balenciaga was founded in 1917. Known for its bold shapes and even architectural constructions in its fashion creations, it has always maintained this spirit and a keen sense of particular cut throughout the decades. It has always oscillated between innovation, provocation, and very high-end luxury in the world of haute couture.
According to the Kering group, Demna Gvasalia (the Georgian designer) had transformed Balenciaga with a "street / post-irony" aesthetic, oversized silhouettes, diverted objects, and a mix of luxury and "ugly aesthetic" since 2015. In July 2025, we are witnessing a transition as Pierpaolo Piccioli, the new artistic director, will likely bring his couture sensibility and softer elegance, while retaining the strong codes of the house.
Balenciaga shoes are a captivating blend of chunky sneakers, emblazoned with the brand's logo, and distinctive, characterful heels.
In older collections, you'll find popular models like the Triple S, Track, and Speed, often available pre-owned. "Retro / pre-Demna" models may also emerge for those seeking vintage or less ubiquitous pieces. On our end, we have some characterful pairs to present to you. They have been refurbished. We hope you'll love them.
