At MyPrettyFrenchShoes, we firmly believe that the virtuous cycle of luxury shoe upcycling benefits everyone. We seriously considered creating our own brand, but the production of a single pair of shoes involves so many stakeholders that it's challenging to ensure each one—suppliers, manufacturers, and so on—adheres to our values. Ultimately, the concept for MyPrettyFrenchShoes emerged quite naturally.
It is important for us to create value from existing items: so many pre-owned shoes go un-recycled. They are often for sale for (too) long, and sit unworn in closets, when these magnificent shoes could be joyfully worn again by other fashion-savvy feet!
The pre-owned shoes we source – no, hunt! – generally come from France, and at most from neighboring European countries. It's reassuring for everyone to know that the pair of our dreams, at least in its second life, hasn't traveled around the world three times before ending up in our hands. The boxes and dust bags come from Europe. All materials used for their restoration are purchased from local suppliers: leather insoles, products, and waxes used to clean and pamper the shoes…
The shoes we offer have all been handled by an artisan who identified any minor flaws and signs of wear before carefully renovating them. For these crucial steps in MyPrettyFrenchShoes' value chain, we have entrusted local artisans who align with our values and respect leather and the ancestral practices taught in the shoemaking craft. We have complete confidence when entrusting them with our precious pairs, knowing they will restore them to their deserved brilliance.
Our project is above all to continue making you dream and to make it accessible to add sparkle to our lives. This sparkle materializes as Chanel shoes or Chloé ankle boots on our feet, whether on a terrace or in everyday life, as long as we, too, can enjoy them!
